A team of volunteers, lead by Dr. Mike Freimuth and Bonnie Freimuth went to the Philippines in June 2019 on a mission trip to the Philippines for 3 weeks to provide dental care and also to deliver 200 water filter systems to the village on Coron Island. Coron is the third-largest island in the Calamian Islands in northern Palawan in the Philippines with a population of about 65,000 people. It is about 170 nautical miles (310 km) southwest of Manila. It was an amazing trip for the team and the water filters were a huge success and such a blessing to the Tagbanua ❤️ Everyone deserves clean water and the more people we get involved the bigger impact we can make together !
Here is a little update that was shared from the people of the village ❤️ An update from Inday and Armil from Batu: They are now here in Manila for medical follow up and checkup. Inday said that the recipients of the water filter are all so blessed to have it in their houses that they now have a safe clean drinking water. Not only that but they don’t get sick anymore with stomach ache or diarrhea because they now have safe drinking water and even use it for cooking. She said some of them let others who were not given a filter, have found ways to borrow it and filter water and put it in safe containers then return it to the owner. The couple also testified that when the two doctors from Coron town visited the village they saw the water filter in the households and were very happy and asked who gave it to them. They told the doctors God used you and the whole team so they can have clean water and they were so appreciative and thanking you so much for thinking about their welfare and health.
